Why Lead a Study Abroad

The Why...

Participating in a study abroad program can be one of the most fulfilling experiences of a students academic career.  Study abroad programs help students broaden their perspectives and develop a worldview unique to an international traveler.  For educators, leading a study abroad program in which you can see your students grow and learn outside the classroom is a gratifying and enriching career experience.

The How...

Leading a study abroad program can be one of the most fulfilling experiences for a university educator.  It impacts students in ways that cannot be replicated in a classroom.  It takes your students out of their comfort zones, beyond their boundaries and challenges their world view.  Students return more appreciative, humble and with new understanding and appreciation of cultural differences.

When you’re leading a program, partnering with a provider like uAdventure Travel helps take the requirements for planning, logistics, and organizational burdens off your shoulders.

How our programs work

  1. The Study Abroad Questionnaire.  Submit your study abroad quote request questionnaire inquiry form and one of our expert study abroad travel consultants will get back to you within 24 to 48 hours.  Our study abroad consultants are all college graduates and have been on a study abroad program during college or travelled extensively around the world.

  2. The Consultation. We’ll spend the time talking with you to really understand what you want to achieve with your students and what’s important to you for their learning experience.  We want to know about the destination you’d love to explore and why, how you see the destination fitting with your existing course and how it could impact your research.

  3. The Planning.  We plan your entire customized program free of charge.   We design academic components, tourism components and adventure components that will work with your existing course so you don’t have to re-design your class.  It is important to us to make sure all of the components of your program work together to create a thematic learning experience, and we strive to make that experience as seamless as possible.  Our Study Abroad Travel Consultants will come along side you to plan all of the logistical requirements for you program including air, airport transfers, coaches, tours, tickets, accommodations, public transportation, meals, and expert tour guides.  We will organize all of your group contracts, bookings and reservations and package everything so you know exactly what is planned for each day.  You can leave the logistics to us, and focus on teaching your students.

  4. The Booking.  Once we have a finalized itinerary and proposal, we’ll set up group contract rates with airlines and resorts/hotels and get your trip booked! We’ll be there to help with any questions or concerns.  We’ll put a package together for you that will outline the day by day activities including detailed directions to get you and your students to and from your accommodations and from each activity to the next.  We’ll even have someone available 24 hours a day while you are traveling.

  5. Pricing.  While we include the cost of faculty travel in the students, program fees, we recognize the importance of bringing our programs in at an affordable price.  We know what students want and we work very hard to design our custom programs with student affordability in mind.  Most of our short term programs are priced between $3,000 and $4,500.

  6. Totally Customized.  Your students’ educational learning experiences are our first priority.  Don’t hesitate to ask for something totally unique.  Our consultants will go the extra mile to make it happen.
